Several floats in the Bicentennial Parade
on July 13th honored Massena's Bicentennial and historic past.

Cakes" celebrating the 100th anniversary of ALCOA in
Massena.

Choirs from six Massena churches held a
concert of sacred music, July 8th at Emmanuel Congregational
Church on West Orvis, attended by more than 200 people.

Nearly 2,000 people attended the Tuesday
concert of the
Orchestra of Northern N.Y., conducted by Ken Andrews.

From the "Battle of the Bands," attended by several hundred
enthusiastic onlookers at Nicholas Field.

The downtown Block Dance and Antique Car Rally on Main Street on July
6th, attended by several hundred.

A group of youngsters offered patriotic music and sang the Massena
Hospital theme as part of Hospital Day.

Over 40 items were sealed in the Massena Memorial Hospital's time
capsule for reopening in 2052.
